How to create a manual target in Singularity?

To create a manual target in the Singularity app, follow these steps:

  1. Find the J2000 Coordinates: Look up the Right Ascension (RA) and Declination (DEC) of your target using resources like Wikipedia or Stellarium.
  2. Access the Manual Target Option:
    • Open the Singularity app.
    • Navigate to the Catalog tab.
    • Select Manual.
  3. Add a New Manual Target:
    • Click on "Add a manual target by entering coordinates".
  4. Enter the Target Information:
    • Object Name: Choose a name for your target.
    • Object Type: Specify the type of celestial object.
    • Exposure Settings (Optional): If Expert Mode is activated, you can adjust the exposure time and gain or keep the default values.
    • Pointing Type: Select the preferred pointing method.
    • Coordinates: Enter the Right Ascension (RA) and Declination (DEC).
  5. Save the Target:
    • Click Save to confirm.
  6. Access the Target:
    • Your manual target will now appear in the Manual target list.
    • Select it and configure your observation settings as usual (Classic, Mosaic, Multi-night, etc.).
