New observation screen design

New observation screen design

What’s new in the Singularity app?

With update 2.34 (April 2025) and the launch of LumENS, we have made several improvements to the design of the Singularity app screens.

Please note:
  1. The Astro Companion is currently available only on iOS.
  1. An active Internet connection (4G/5G) is required alongside Wi-Fi to use this feature.

1. Observation Start Screen

After selecting a target from the catalog, your instrument will automatically move to the selected object.
While it is slewing, you can interact with our
Astro Companion to learn fun facts about your target.

You can:
  1. Pause the explanations at any time.
  1. Skip directly to the observation screen if you prefer.

2. New Observation Screen

To support the new features, we have redesigned the observation screen:

  • Accessing the Astro Companion:

Tap the blue circle at the bottom right of the screen.
    You can:

    • Activate or pause the Companion.

    • Ask questions by text or voice.

  • Accessing Options:
Tap the "+" button at the bottom left of the screen to access all your usual options.

  1. Quickly identifying your settings
Active options (such as Master Dark, multi-night, or mosaic mode) are now displayed at the top right of the screen.

What remains unchanged?

  • The stacking progress remains displayed on the side of the screen.

  • The object name and stacking time are still shown in the same place.

What happens if I have disabled LumENS?

If LumENS is disabled:

  • The pointing page will continue to display written information about the objects.

  • The observation screen will still feature the new interface (with access to options via the "+" button and an improved stacking bar).
